A poem for dad.

I heard you say "I love you", when I was in mum's tum,

9 months passed before I heard you help her count to one.

"One, two, three, four... breathe", I heard you say,

You stayed by mummy's side, until I met you the next day.

I miss when we're not together, but I know you have to work,

you strive so hard to give us all the lovely perks.

I will open up your heart, to something very new,

I know you're nervous, I know you're scared but you have mum right here with you.

You help give me the gift of life, and life gave me the gift of you.
